WHAT IS THIS? ▼

WHAT IT IS

Most apps ask you to log your day. This one asks about your life.

IT ASKSOne question at a time — where you lived, who was there, what you'd never turn down. No blank pages.

IT REMEMBERSEvery address, job, pet and person, with the years you can put to them — and never one it invented.

IT WRITES IT UPAll of it becomes a save file you can print — a save file about you, in your own words.

A LOOK AT IT

THE DAY, WRITTEN DOWN

Tonight's moon, when the sun comes and goes, and one question worth answering.

A MAP THAT'S YOURS

The whole world, one country, or the few streets you know by heart.

AND THEN THE BOOK

Print it, or save it as a PDF. Documents and health are left off on purpose — this is the part you show people.

Better than a screenshot: go and look.

LOOK AROUND FIRST opens a life somebody already filled in, so there's something to read on every screen. It asks for nothing, and it won't write over a save file you have already started.

YOUR INFO IS YOUR TREASURE

It stays in your browser. No account, no server, no database with your life in it.
The app asks nothing of anyone. Even the fonts come from this site. Nothing about you ever leaves your device — not a word of it, and not a location.
Nothing you write is counted or read. This homepage tallies visits so I know it's reaching people. The app itself is never measured.

So keep a copy. There's no server to recover it from. Clear the browser or change phones and only the copy you kept comes with you — one tap, and the app reminds you.

WHO IT'S FOR

ANYONE KEEPING A RECORDIn ten years you'll be glad you started today.

PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTSSit with them and fill it in together.

ANYONE WHO HAS MOVEDEvery address and document, in one place when a form asks.

PEOPLE LOOKING AFTER SOMEONEMedications, dates and papers, where you can find them.

QUESTIONS

IS IT REALLY FREE?: Yes, and it stays that way. Nothing is behind a payment.
WHERE IS MY INFORMATION KEPT?: In your browser, on your device. No one — including me — can read it.
WHAT IF I CLEAR MY BROWSER?: It would be gone — there's no server copy to restore, because there's no server. Keep a copy now and then — that's the file you'd load back in.
DO I HAVE TO FILL IT ALL IN?: No. Nothing to finish, nothing to complete — one line a week is plenty. It works on a phone too; add it to your home screen and it runs offline.
